Dies Irae

from Solguden by Lindsay Phillips

/

lyrics

Day of wrath - a day we mourn
As fulfilled - by prophets warned
Now the heavens and the world in ashes burn
See the pride of man is rent
See his arbiter descend
On whose sentence rests eternity for all
Wondrous voice – the trumpet call
Through each tomb and living hall
All are penitent before his hallowed throne
And our justice seated there
Which was hidden – never spared
He decreed that no deed unavenged prevail
